Program Objectives

• Provide information and resources for families in order to increase accessibility to high-quality early education and care programs and services for families with children birth through age 8.

• Promote family education, engagement, and literacy through activities that build on family strengths, foster parental leadership, and recognizes that parents are their children’s first teachers.

• Create parental opportunities for mutual support and social connections.

Funding

South County Community Partnership (Coordinated Family & Community Engagement) is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. (WCAC) is the lead agency for Webster, Southbridge and Oxford.

Council Meetings

Oxford/ Webster/ Southbridge Partners with Parents Council meetings are held at the Woodward School, 670 Main Street, No. Oxford, MA on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM, unless otherwise stated. Meetings are posted at the Oxford Town Hall and on the Oxford Access Channel. All meetings are open to the public.

Members of the Council reflect the diversity of the business community, public and private early childhood programs, parents, town officials, and representatives of health care, religious, and social service communities.
