Southern Worcester County Early Head Start
Early Head Start Home Visitor
Full-time (37.5 hrs) Year Round

 

Qualifications:

  • AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of human services needs and the community resources
  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Bilingual Spanish / English preferred
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft office experience
  • Must have physical ability to lift infants and toddlers
  • Must be able to visit homes that are not handicap accessible
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Special Certifications Or Documentation:

  • Evidence of negative Mantoux, required by DEEC
  • Mandatory physical every two years
  • First aid and CPR Certificates

Head Start of Southern Worcester County has the following positions available in our NAEYC accredited program:

 

PRE-SCHOOL TEACHER

Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Full year.
Must have teacher certification through DEEC.
  • Minimum of an AA in Early Childhood Education.
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office. 
  • Bi-lingual English /Spanish a plus.
  • Teachers education philosophy must be compatible with Head Start. 
  • Experience working with diverse populations and complex family situations helpful.

Healthy Families of Southern Worcester County has the following positions available:

 

FAMILY ADVOCATE/HOME VISITOR

One full-time positions (37.5hrs/wk). One part-time position (22.5 hrs/wk)


A highly enthusiastic professional is needed to join Healthy Families of Southern Worcester County.  

  • This position requires a HS diploma or GED equivalent and excellent organizational, communication and written skills.
  • Flexibility a must! Extensive documentation, parent involvement and occasional night meetings and weekends required.
  • Responsible for providing in-home support, training and case management services to first time parents with young children 0-3yrs old. 
  • Prior experience in early childhood education or family support programs very helpful. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, bi-lingual in Spanish preferred, Microsoft office skills, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
