Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program is a FREE refundable federal tax program that reduces the amount of income tax owed by low- to moderate-income working individuals and families. This means that for qualifying households with earned income less than $53,000 in 2014, free tax preparations and E-file assistance are available. Many households will also be eligible for an Earned Income Tax Credit. (Please refer to the eligibility chart and the list of required documents at the bottom of this page.)

WCAC is a 2015 VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site for free tax preparation and electronic tax filing (E-file). This program enhances the ability of low- to moderate-income working individuals and families to file taxes and claim EITC and other returnable taxes.
