Earned Income Tax Credit Program
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program is a FREE refundable federal tax program that reduces the amount of income tax owed by low- to moderate-income working individuals and families. This means that for qualifying households with incomes less than $48,279, free tax preparations and E-file assistance are available. Many households will be eligible for an earned income tax refund.
WCAC’s EITC Coordinator organizes the Earned Income Tax Program for the City of Worcester. Through collaborations with various neighborhoods of the community, recruitment of agency partners, and the facilitation of monthly meetings of the EITC Coalition, the Coordinator ensures best practice methods for outreach and implementation efforts of EITC project partners.
WCAC is a 2012 VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site for free tax preparation and electronic tax filing (E-File). To learn more about EITC eligibility in

Monday-Wednesday 4:00-7:00 PM - By appointment ONLY
Saturdays 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Appointments strongly encouraged. Walk-ins welcomed.
